S70 won't start, done some troubleshooting
Ok I have been searching the forums; My non turbos70 wouldn't start the other day, at first it was turning over, I could hear the starter, thought i was out of gas, put some in and pumped the gas once while starting it the next try,, it did start, but then sputtered , blew out black smoke from the exhaust and died, but the next time I tryed to start, it makes a whirring sound (flywheel?)[edit] and doesnt turn over which is why i suspect a fuel problem.
Im not too car saavy, but I always try to do my own work, so I checked relay 103, looks brand spankin new inside, but jumped 15 and 87, nothing, ruled that out, had someone try to start it, I could hear the pump turning on, now Even if the pump has power, can it still be bad? ie take it out and visualy inspect it?
and if it is not bad, the culprit should be filter, right?

By "not turning over" do you mean that the starter is not cranking the engine or do you mean that the starter is cranking the motor but that it is not running under it's own power?
When I here a whirring sound I think that the starter is not engaging the motor- unusual for a bad flywheel, more likely a bum starter or the selenoid that kicks it over to engage the flywheel.

It is not the starter, I pulled it and had it tested today. I also borrowed an OBD and pulled P0562 code for low system voltage; after seeing this I remembered I had replaced the 20A cigarette lighter fuse with a 30A when it blew last month, so I fixed it and no more code, I also had a low battery when I hooked up the obd, so I ran jumper cables for some extra power and after removing the jumper cables and tightening the battery cables and changing the fuse, I started the car, but then it died 2 seconds later and now it just clicks (somewhere in engine compartment) when I try to start it. So I am charging my battery, but could it be timing? or maybe I blew a main fuse?, I plan on removing the spark plugs to check for water tomorrow and then move on to learning how to check my timing, also I never got a alarm remote when I bought it, I had car toys remove the alarm brain, but could it be an immoblizer? but if you guys have any suggestions? I am all for it. Thanks Again

It is a 84 month battery, with not even 22 months yet, I put it on my neighbors trickle charger last night. I am a courier and last summer while working, when I got out of the car, as soon as the door shut, it armed itself and went off and didnt stop until I removed the battery cable and left it off for 5 or 10 mins, so I had it pulled so I wouldn't have a reoccurance while parked in a emergency zone at a hospital or something. It was an unknown aftermarket alarm, Car Toys could not identify it
