im about to trade in my volvo 940, for a 1998 S70R, or a 1996 850 TURBO.....I need some advice, the S70R is a 2.5 20V(not sure if its turbo because it doesnt say so) and i would like to know how many HP does it have, what are the con's and pro's?

And now for the 850 TURBO, i dont know what engine it is, but i would like to know, i will post pics tomorrow for both cars

If it is a real S70R then it has a turbo.

 

Well, where do i have to look for the turbo? in the engine it will say?

 

You have to look on the turbo, and it has like a little plate that says what turbo it is. But you would probably have to take the heatshield off and the turbo to see it. Unless you can see it from the top.

 

See the red plate there? That is what it should look like. Might not be red, but you get the idea.

 

There should be a white sticker on the Hood. It will say something like Vin# Engine family, ETC.
Look for something like B5244t B5234t
The T means a turbo engine.

If it was Non-turbo it would say B5244 B5234
