scan tool?

2000 S70 turbo, what brand of scan tool do you guys use, I have one for obd1 for GM, but am sure I will need one for my volvo, I see ipd has one for $59, will that work?

I have a simple OBDII scanner but I am beginning to regret that I did not getting something that support live data.

I have been thinking about buying the CAR MD scanner...Good idea or not? Do you think it would work with Vadis? I know you can plug the thingy into your computer, so many questions so little time...lol
