2000 S70 lighter socket issue
Has anyone had this issue where the front 12 volt lighter socket have been pushed through the centre console wood grain. It's impossible to keep it in place while plugging chargers into it as it drifts deeper into the console, see the picture.
Any suggestions on how to permanently fasten this into place?

Crazy glue or something like that.
That is unless you want to buy a new center section.
Another option I have done before is to trim some of the support line. Then use a wire tie around the entire thing to try to help hold the socket in. Sometimes it works and other times it does not.

Delirious,
Had the same problem when I bought my used 2000 S70 back in 2001. Had the dealer "fix" it once, but 6 months later it came loose again. I removed the panel (sure you can track down instructions down from another post) and applied a generous amount of epoxy (the two part stuff) to the socket and underside of the panel. The fix has been solid for the last nine years. Just be careful not to let the eqoxy seep through the hole to the top of the panel or into the socket...and let the epoxy harden over night.
