Default Silicone Vacuum Lines

I've been thinking about swapping my vacuum lines and turbo hoses out with silicone parts for a while now, but the cost of the kits is a bit excessive.

I've seen "universal" kits on Ebay for literally 10% the price of S70 specific kits.

Is there any REAL reason to get an S70 specific kit?

I'd imagine all one would need to do, is remove the old hose, measure, cut the new hose, and replace it. Right?

Should it all be the same size?

If so, which?

Get your vacuum lines from either ViVA or iPd. It's sold by the foot and fairly inexpensive.

Are you talking about the intercooler hose kits? I'd stick with a model specific kit.
What year is your car? This kit will work for '98 MY.

Not talking about the intercooler/turbo hoses. I'm talking about the assorted vacuum lines.
The Vehicle specific kits run in excess of $100.
You can get lengths of tubing on Ebay in various diameters for <$15.

Usually any kits you'll find will be referring to the I/C hoses and sometimes the Radiator hoses as well.

If you just want the Vacuum lines, you can buy it by the foot from iPd for 2.27 per foot.
IIRC they recommend 7 feet to run all new vacuum lines in the 850's. I bought 14' from iPd for both my R's and ended up with about 5' left over.

This is the hose you will want. Call in your order and ask them how much you'll need.
