Slight shuddering in reverse???
Recently purchased a S70 from a family who had it 4-5 years. Has 181k, but in good physical condition. Drives well However, today I found when I put in in reverse, the moment I gave it some gas there was a slight shudder when moving backwards. I really don't know, but maybe the transmission slipping?? However, the car will "creep" backwards without any problem with very slight vibration. The car seems to drive fine otherwise. Anybody experience this? or have any ideas??? Thank you
the transmission will not fully shift into reverse for 1-2 seconds.
if you give it gas before that, it will pull back pretty rough. i have experienced this myself but i know in the owners manual it says there is a short delay when shifting into reverse.

The hitch is...the car drives well forward... and the car shudders as long as you have your foot on the gas pedal going in reverse. But...the car creeps backwards so wouldn't that mean reverse has been engaged??? Thanks for your replies too!
