squeaky steering wheel

my steering wheel moans or squeaks or something when i turn. is that because its cold or do I need to lube something?

Could be this. Mine is doing it as well, but it is 3 degrees here now and I have no will to freeze my *** off to fix it.

It could also be a bad SRS contact reel.

Is the SRS contact reel any easy repair or is it something the dealer needs to do with their software updates and the usual procedure of software activation.

You can replace it without the Dealer.

As soon as it gets a bit warmer i will try cleaning the bearing and greasing it. If that does not work, I move on to the SRS. Right now the single digit temps keep me from caring about a moaning steering wheel.

It could also be your Power Steering. When I turn my steering wheel mine moans. I believe it has something to do with the Powersteering, possibly the PS pump or something.
