Have a 99 S70T5. The SRS light is on. Got estimate from dealer for $1200. 3 codes, they could not clear them. Any ideas or recommendations to get it off. They said most likely need a new module.

 

not sure what you mean by saying they could not clear the codes. If the codes are being thrown by a faulty air bag unit, then that needs to be replaced. Before you replace the air bag unit, the shop should check for any other wiring issues - ie a connector under the seat, wiring harness issues. Were they able to tell you which airbag is throwing the fault or if its one of the noise sensors?

 

Did they tell you the codes and what they mean? That would probably help. I don't know much about airbags, but a module is NOT $1,200.
