SRS Light On
I just finished changing out the evaporator on my 1998 S70 SR5 sedan. I had to drive the car to reindex the steering wheel and did not have the air bag connected. I now have the SRS light. Looking for away to put light out. Any help will do.

I read your article about removing and replacing the evaporator. Excellant. Fearing that I did some thing wrong I read your article again. This time on line. (The paper work I printed cut off two to three words). I missed something the first time.
What did you mean by the Contact reel from unrolling? Where was this T-20 screw? Where was it suppose to go? I believe now that I have may have damaged the Contact Reel.
Thanks for the help,
Fred

The T-20 screw is in the steering wheel. The yellow tag off the contact reel is usually attached to the screw.
There is also a hole in the contact reel that the screw will go through and then hit the back part to lock it.
If you have driven the car yes you might have damaged it.
If not then you can try to reset it.
Remove the steering wheel.
Carefully turn it all the way to the right then all the way to the left. Count each way then put it in the center and lock it.
Reinstall the wheel and see what happens from there.

Thanks for all the help. Reset did the trick. I was lucky not breaking the Contact Reel. I have turned the wheel all the way to the right and to the left and I have driven the car now all afternoon, the light is off.
