Starting a Car That Has Sat for an Extended Period of Time

Yes the ignition switch going bad is common and to be honest with you I kinda like it. I look at it as a security feature. Lol
I have never used anything in the motor like Mystery Oil. Those lifters tick in all of these cars if they sit for a few days or more, it's normal and the owners manual talks about it. Wait, I did put some Slick 50 in an old 262C Burtone I had. The cam bearings would go out in those V6 Renult motors. It helped quiet the knocking and extended the life of that motor.
Your AC leak is likely a bad evaporator. Would have been nice to have replaced when you did the dash tabs. Lot of work going back in there.
Most of those plugs look bad, like the car is running rich or something. Maybe a lot of short trips. Watch that because bad fuel ratio can cause valves to burn in these cars.
I'll try to lighten up on my hourly postings.

My mother only drove to work, the grocery store and ran small errands which would explain the plugs.
I would have thought that the AC leakage was most likely the result of the car sitting for 18 months. If it's the evaporator, I don't have a problem with removing the dash since I've got one practice for doing that under my belt. I will see how the recharge holds.
