Exclamation Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Problems (check engine light came on)

hi, i have a 1998 s70 glt and have 155,xxx miles on it. i was going to work yesterday and the car just wouldnt start. i tryed 5 or 6 times but nothing. than today i tryed again and it started from the 1st try. but the check engine light came on and is still on. i checked the battery today with a charger and it said that it was 100% charged, so its not the battery's problem. i even tryed driving around and couldnt notice any sounds or anything coming from the engine. what do u guys think was the problem and wat should i do?

Do you have more details? Are the dash lights illuminating? Is the engine cranking, or even beginning to crank? Do you hear a click when you turn the key?

Next time you can't start it up, take a look at the dash and see if the immobilizer light is flashing. If it is, then you might have a bad immobilizer antenna ring (the thing w/the I, II, III around the keyhole).

The codes from the CEL might tell you exactly what the problem is. I was just having a starting problem and didn't have any codes to tell me what was wrong. I got a new Bosch starter, and all was fixed.

ok, i went to Schucks and they give somkind of a thing to check whats the problem. i plugged it in to the center console and it gave me a PO340. i checked on the canOBD2.com and it says Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit (Bank 1 or single sensor). what does that mean? do i have to replace my camshaft or just change the sensor? or wat? by the way i also had timing belt changed about 3 months ago, with timing belt tensioner, idler and water pump
