Default Strange Problem. Car Shut Down On ride and Battery seemd to be discharged.

Dear All,

I own 2000 S70 GLT SE with 120K miles.
Few Days ago i had a problem with battery it was discharged so the car won't start. so i asked the dealer to check and replace the battery if necessary. they checked and told me that the battery was ok, they charged it fully and put it back in the car. this happened yestedray. today morning tha car started normally without any problems. I rided about 10 miles and stopped at the supermarket. after that when i tried to start the car it wont start. battery seemed to be discharged. I started the car with help of another car and Battery Cables. during a ride few times ABS, STC and some other lights switched on. and the car stopped on the ride.
so, i brought back the battery and they temporary Replaced with another battery.
The Guy from dealership called and told me that the battery is in even good shape than the new one.

sorry for so much details

So Can you suggest what should be a problem?

Is it a matter of battery when car shuts off during ride?

Could be a bad alternator...
or voltage regulator
wait for others to reply.

have had same problem with a '93 850, alternator went about a month or so later, about $100 to rebuild at a shop away from home.
