Default Throttle link cable replacement help

Hi all, i have a 1998 volvo s70 AT, NT, 178k

I have a broken throttle cable, it wont allow the idle speed below 1500-1200 range, so i need to replace the throttle cable.....anybody ever undertaken this on my model? If so, any advice, or tips. I am going to order the throttle cable off parts geek, anything else i should order you think? Any links to a step by step process??

Thanx in advance...

Very straight forward except for contortions and language while you get to the pedal attachment. Think of a way to attach new one to old one so you pull the new one in while removing the old one.

I have to replace a bad throttle cable on my Z570 and was wandering if someone could tell me how to get the carbs and oil pump properly.

Historically a mechanical linkage between the accelerator pedal and the throttle butterfly has always existed, be it via a cable or via rods and linkages
