Default tranny problem

in my last post i told you about the new radiator i bought and it had a hole in it that i could not see so it mixed my tranny fluid with coolant.
well now when i am driving the car shifts from second to third and their is a big knoking noise it feels like i just hit a pot hole
so the radiator place agreed to send me a new radiator but are deniing the fact that the tranny problem is my fault
does any one know what i should do
i though abought suing the company but dont think it will be worth my troubles to do so.

You will have to contact an attorney to figure out if they can be held liable for selling a defective product. If they sold you a product that caused damage to your car, they should pay for any damage it causes.

I'm not a sue happy guy but if you don't take action they may continue to sell those defective items and cause a lot of people the same problem. You may have to prove that it was defective and installed properly.

I just seen a post where someone was parting out their car because they installed a new radiator and the transmission went out a few days later. Said something about coolant getting into the trany. I'm wondering if the same company made the radiator that you installed.

If I run across it again I'll send you the info. I think it was on SwedeSpeed.com. You may want to troll through the fwd parts for sale section and see if a car is being parted out because of the similar problem. You may be able to do a little research and put together a class action law suit to stop that company from trashing these cars.

Other than that, try to get your parts from FCP or iPd. I think they actually monitor their suppliers pretty good and cut that kind of stuff short.

If you got that part from a local supplier, go speak to their manager and see if there is something they can do to help you.
