You can do a bunch of drain and refills or remove the cooler line and pump it through the system till you have 12 quarts through it. The drain plug is 15/16 or comparable in metric.

Ok. Before I get started. What is the correct way to check the transmission fluid level? When parked, engine at operating temp, and in neutral, where should the the fluid level b?

The car should be warm and in park and should read in the middle of the hot part on the dipstick.
Full on the hot side should be after the car was driven for a little while.

I drove it about 20 miles and checkd it. Engine on, in park, the fluid level was 3/4 on the cold mark! So when I add fluid, do I leave the car running and just fill it to the 1/2 mark of the hot level?
