I have a 2000 S70 with 186k and have never changed the transmission fluid. Yes, I'm the original owner. The transmission works fine and no problems, however, the fluid is dark but doesn't smell burnt. The local backyard Volvo expert says don't have it flushed but drain and replace, drive it for several months and drain and replace it again. I've heard all the stories about flushing out old fluid and the transmission dies. All opinions/comments would be appreciated. Thanks.
