Turbo Overboost
Hi all,
I just installed an IPD HD Boost solenoid in my 1999 S70. Now it boosts too much and I get an overboost code. I am almost certain that I put all the vacuum lines in correctly. They are and were silicone lines so there should not be any cracks. Car was running fine before but was only developing 7lbs of boost when it would drop off.
Any suggestions appreciated.

I understand that but did you check to make sure one did not blow off on the turbo?
The waste gate or compressor one.
Usually over boost is due to a hose coming off and the waste gate not working.

Everything seems secure. Perhaps I got the lines mixed up when a changed them to silicone previously. The vacuum diagram is difficult to understand. I have the yellow line going to what my manual calls the pressure regulator. The red one goining in to the plastic pipe running from air box. I assume FreshAir. And the blueline going underneath the tube and is hard to get to without taking everything apart.
Is this correct or do I have something switched?

Swapped IPD TCV with original and now when put the pedal to the floor it does the same thing. Guage goes over 10psi and drops off. Runs OK otherwise though boost guage seems to jump around. Check engine light on again with overboos message.
Did as tech suggested. Took it apart checked the hose connections. Must have had one wrong. Followed IPDs adaptation instructions. All is well now. Thanks for the input.
