That is an old car. The rims could have been installed later. Did you buy the car? If so, post pics. We like pics.

Pretty sure all S70's had side markers. What does it say on the back of the car? Good place to start. And is the interior like leather seats with "cloth" inserts? Or are there like mismatched seats? There were S70s called SE that came with leather seats and suede inserts.

All 99 and up S70's have the fender turn signal lights. The 98's do not unless someone installed them.

I've seen base models with GLT rims on them. I've also seen a couple GLTs with the base alloys. Volvo seems to be pretty liberal with the whole trim level thing... My '98 GLT, when I first got it, had heated leather, a spoiler, a moonroof, Auto climate control, etc... but ONLY the AM/FM/ Cassette stereo, the matte gray interior trim, a manual passenger seat, and a plain steering wheel. I've seen a couple "base" models with woodgrain, CD, power passenger seat, and other options my car didn't have. Now, I have since added the AM/FM/Cassette/CD player, woodgrain trim, woodgrain steering wheel from a T-5, T-5 wheels, and foglights. I've seen GLTs without a spoiler, and I've seen base models with one. Actually, there's a guy up the street from me that has the most stripped- down GLT I've ever seen. It's essentially a base model with a turbo slapped on. It has the GLT wheels, but no moonroof, non- heated leather seats, cassette only, and (I think) Manual climate control. The only common ground I see with Volvo S70 trims is the engine- base is NA, GLT is low- pressure turbo, and T-5 is high pressure turbo. Yes, there's also the weird ones like SE and GLT SE, but I think those are just upgrade packages. The side markers aren't on the '98s originally, but lots of us add them.

ok well actually since i started this thread i have gotten rid of that base s70 for a 98 GLT s70. The base s70 i had, had the have vynal/cloth interrior like this one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1999-...item2ea8eb9b09
but it had GLT rims a cd player and manual climate control both front manual seats and no moon roof, But my new s70 is a GLT and has everything minus the wood grain and power pass seat, spoiler and fogs. I added side markers to my s70 and thats not true about every s70 99 and up having side markers.. because someone i know has a 2000 T5 and she does not have side markers. but i added 4300k hids to my s70 and next will be fog lights.

I kinda like that interior, two tone ftw. I think the full leather interior is classy, but I do not like sitting in an all leather seat when driving, too slippery.

yeah, I'm not a huge fan of that color, kind of random and doesn't fit with the rest of the car. Actually, the only tan leather interior I like is in the 960's, otherwise, not a fan of it. Black leather all the way.
