hey there folks, I just bought a 1999 S70. anyway, its got these 15' steel wheels on it that are fine, but I'm going to upstate NY this fall and I was wondering about winter tires. My dad has a set of 15' steel wheels that he took off his chrysler sebring, I think it was a 2000 or 2001. i was wondering if it'd be possible to use those wheels, put some snow tires on them and have them as a dedicated set, so that i could just swap out the winter for non-winter tires easily w/o going to a shop or something.

are the bolt patterns compatible? they are both 5-bolt, but volvos are swedish, so I dont really know. thanks for your help.

 

I don't think they will fit.

If they were Ford Taurus rims then they might.

 

call Tire Rack. They will tell you if they will fit.

 

Why not just put some snow tires on the stock steel wheels and get a new set of alloy rims in the spring? Then you can swap between the two sets with the change in seasons.

 

I might do that in the future...but I have some wheels just chillin in the shed. I was just wondering if I could get some use out of them.

 

dang. well, I got my email back. no dice. the sebring is 5x4.5', the volvo is 5x108. thanks for everyones help on this.
