'01 S80 2.9 Check Engine Light P1171 P1181
Just turned 100,700 and had transmission replaced. Thought the CEL was possibly part of the fading transmission.
Codes are consistently P1171, P1181 fuel trim
Mechanic fixed a broken line, checked pressure of system, I removed and spray cleaned (CRC MAF sensor cleaner) the Mass Air Flow Sensor....still getting the codes.
Car runs fine. I plan to erase the codes and drive through a few cycles to see if it finally disappears. If not, might replace the MAF sensor as a simple DIY.
Will I have to go to the dealer to have the software dealt with ? ie. the computer will "see" new hardware....
Any experience or opinions with these two codes will be appreciated. Very frustrating.
