Codes P1171 and P1181
Today the CEL and Emission System Service Required message come on in my 99 S80. The codes seem to point to the O2 sensors. I know there are 4 sensors and was hoping the codes would point to one of them. One of the codes is Bank1 and one is Bank2. The car is running fine, so I am researching to come up with a plan of action. It looks like the foward 02 sensors need to be replaced.
Dropping the convertor to get to the sensors looks like a pain but it has to be easier than paying the dealer. I would appreciate any comments from people who have changed their O2 sensors.
Thanks for your help and time

Yes you have to drop the Exhaust to get to them.
Once you loosen the Pipe the front part can hang without removing it from the engine.
What I have in my book for the codes doesn't match what you have.
1171= Rotor sensor
1181=Fuel delivery system-High
But to sonewhat answer your quiestion Bank 1= cylinders 1-2-3 Bank 2= Cylinder 4-5-6

Ya i dont trust autozone codes anyone, One time my emission system service light and cel light came on, went to autozone, they told me it was a "misfire in cylinder 5"... I ended up going to volvo, and it turned out to be a Throttle body problem, and it was done under warrranty..
