Default 05 S80 - Coolant and Transmission fluid mixed

So long story short, my aunts s80 which has been sitting outside her house for some time now has mixed both the antifreeze and trans fluid. She had assumed it was a bad headgasket but the engine oil was just fine when I drained it. When I drained the transmission it was milky and obviously mixed with coolant. It looks to me as though the radiator failed... or was installed incorrectly considering it was brand new which caused the two fluids to mix.

I want to immediately flush the transmission because when I drove the car (not knowing the situation) it was still shifting decently and running ok. Im hoping the damage isnt too bad although Im sure it wont be perfect after this.

Anyways, Im not sure if theres a transmission pan on these cars or where it may be? I saw maybe two that looked as if they were the pan but im not sure.

Any insight on where the transmission pan/filter is located?
Its a 5 cylinder turbo.

Thanks for all the help /sarcasm/. I decided on not removing the pan as I am told its a difficult job. I had the transmission flushed, so far so good.

The owner of one of the best transmission shops in New England informed me that once antifreeze mixes with transmission fluid it has contaminated the seals and, even after it is flushed out, its only a matter of time before it ruins your transmission.

A much cheaper first option. i probably would have done it too.
Suggest you do a couple of drain and refills in the near future though to clear out any residual coolant /gunk.
You might get away with it ??
