08 S80 PCC: Double-pump door handle when locked to get out of front seats??
I have a 2008 S80 w/the PCC. When the car is locked, it takes two pumps of the inside door handle to open the front doors when they are locked. I've had MANY other vehicles (including a S40 and S60) and this has never been my experience even when locked, a single pull of the handle will open the front door. Even strangely enough, attempting this from the outside (when PCC is on me), it opens in one pull (as you would expect with the magic unlocker!)
How can I avoid this annoyance? I looked thru the radio's menu for locking/unlocking etc and couldn't find a setting that would do what I want. It's embarrassing to have friends or co-workers in the car because I have to quickly mash the "unlock" button or tell them "Yeah you have to open it twice, I dunno why".
Any thoughts?
FYI: I have it set to auto unlock the front two doors when I approach and open w/PCC. I never put the PCC in the dash, I keep it in my pocket. Other than that, I think it is fairly standard setup.
Thanks!!
Matt

Visited a dealer today and tried their S80 PCC handle. Similar results. Guess I have to live with this odd behavior. It was funny, both the sales and service guys I asked about it had no clue and when I showed them, were quite surprised. Oh well.
I did the same thing the first time I drove one of the newer cars. Yes it is quite annoying.
Maybe the auto lock can be disabled.

Yep, via the menus in the radio I can disable auto lock! Still, it's force of habit to lock them as I pull away... must... train... myself...
