New member, and just grabbed a non turbo 2011 S80 with about 86k miles a few month ago; 1 owner, no wrecks and all maintenance done at local dealer . . .
Got it for $14 less than what insurance gave me (after significant haggling) for the total loss payout of a 2007 Lexus ES350.

The Volvo is a solid vehicle and interior is very nice, including sound system. I've been having a hard downshift at around 26 mph when coasting. Problem goes away if driven hard (discovered by my son of course). Took into dealer for 90k service and was told that they didn't notice any mechanical issues, but that a software update would likely solve the problem. However, the current computer apparently needs to be updated for this software update - to the tune of $1700 . . .

Can anybody shed light on this?
