1999 S80 T6 low/rough idle
Hey guys, I'm back unfortunately for the wrong reasons as the title suggests.
So I had a battery drain issue, I figured it out (alternator) and it's taken me a while but I got it fixed.
-New alternator
-New throttle body gasket
-New intake manifold gasket
-Cleaned out the PCV box and engine ports
-New air filter
-New spark plugs
-New seals on the injectors and fuel line and fpr
-Cleaned throttle body too
So it runs which is a relief, but as mentioned it idles real low like 500-600 rpm maybe... I'll take a picture tonight or tomorrow and put it up.
I have SRS airbag and the red triangle with !
And the emissions system light is on
I don't think either of those would be an issue. I will put my code reader on but it's just a generic one so from what I read I won't see alot of codes that could potentially be there.
However service engine etc isn't on so I don't expect to see many codes other than maybe for 02 sensors (I have an exhaust leak hence the emissions warning light).
I didn't but will clean my MAF when I can, what else could it be?
I also want to do the fuel filter but I don't think it's that.
I've had many cars on original fuel filters with many more miles and never had a filter be a issue and when my MAF's needed cleaning I'd get a CEL unless the Volvo S80 hides it from me.
The engine is really shaky at idle and shakes the car, however once you rev it up its completely smoothed out.
She sometimes has some hesitation to rev up but it does no problem once you get it near 800 rpm it's smooth sailing up to 2k and back down until it gets low again.
