Hey guys, have a 2000 S80 2.9 with no oil pressure, I have volume, but no pressure. I have replaced the oil pump and cleaned out all oil passages. What controls oil pressure? The car runs great, just oil pressure light comes on 1,200 rpm.

 

Have you checked and/or replaced the oil pan o-rings?

 

well when i had no oil pressure(the message came up), for me, they noticed 'sludge' had leaked from the oil pump......they told me that the oil pump needs to be resealed....
so thats what they did...

 

The oil pan O-rings help control pressure also between the top and bottom of the engine.
