2000 S80, are brakes in the rear drums?
I will be having a friend do my brakes pads and rotorsfor me. I went to Autozone, and they didnt have any rotors for the back and that there is a possibility that they brakes are drums in the rear. Is that true?
I have also read that OEM is the best to prevent squealing, but all the links I go to have other brands. Do people mean that brand doesnt matter as long as they are OEM replacements and not performance rotors? Can someone clarify that for me, because I have been look for Volvo brand rotors and pads.

I use brembo replacement rotors and PBR pads, and I have 0 brake dust/squealing.

It is rotors in the back, the cars came with one of two sizes front and back 12" or 11" only way to know is to take off the wheel and measure
The OEM rotors for the car are one of two brands, Brembo or Zimmerman (both absolutely fantastic brands) and you can even get cross drilled zimmermans if you want a high performance option... The best 2 sites for these sort of things are fcpgroton and eeuroparts so I took the liberty of sourcing for you based on your car

or
http://www.eeuroparts.com/Main/PartDetail.aspx?id=71068 these are for front brakes, use the search to get the rear's... I have ordered from both sites and they are both very reliable and quick with the shipping... your call on what you wana do

The sell OEM replacements and the prices seem good
Rear Rotor 53.38
Rear Pads 34.06
Front rotor 71.96
Front Pads 51.47
I found instructions online that show how to replace the rotor in the front. Is it the same procedure in the rear?
My car came with the Volvo 17 rims originally. Can I assume its the 12" size?

Id recommend you stick to one of the sites I gave you where you know for sure what your getting and you know its OEM...
You can get free shipping on either site based on how much you order so it works out pretty economical..

About assuming about the rotor size, there is no guarantee, its still best to take the wheel off and measure because you dont want to have to return etc...
