Default HU-611 radio question

Please help tech. I have a 99 s80 t6 with the HU-611. found out there is not a center speaker present but there is a wire clamped there. Can i just purchase the center speaker and install ? found a center speaker but was pondering what if its not connected to the hu611 does that radio have the capability for the center or is that just prewired for all the s-80s in case they have the premium sound. Im hoping itsa plug and play.

Im not 100% sure if the speaker wires are Live or not. Best would be to pull the cover and wire a speaker up to test it.

The wires are not live... What I did in my car is put a infiniti kappa perfect 6 1/2 and a 1 inch tweeter in the empty space. It fit perfectly. The tweeter just snaps in place, and 6 1/2 fits tight around the edges (i used super glue to hold it in place). Then I ran wire down to the radio (bipassed the factory speaker harness) and taped it into the front right speaker. It sounds awesome and I highly recomend it!

How does this affect the sound of the front right channel then? I considered something like this but is it really worth the hassle considering that wiring will probably be a super bitch.. also you lack the dedicated centre channel controls found on the HU-801

If I ride in the passenger seat, you can some what notice that the right over powers the left. But when you are in the drivers seat it sounds amazing, sucks for everyone else in the car but you are the one driving it and you should be comfortable. The Infinti's run at a 4 ohm load (which sound louder on the stock system) and the tweeter as a higher or lower gain feature built into the crossover. I use the higher gain so it the center speaker is a little more dominate. Its hard to describe but sound surrounds you more and the right side doesn't seem so far away. It sounds like a true home theater setup. Because its a higher gain on the tweeter which most you vocals come from it sounds like a independent center channel. If you really wanted to you could get yourself a sound processor and run 5.1 in you car with a dedicated center but I'm not ready to drop the money for that haha. As for the wiring, it was stupid easy for me but then again I install car stereos for a living but it seems pretty easy for a beginner. All you need to do is pull out the radio, and just tap into the front right speaker wires then run a cable up to the center/crossover. I don't know the color codes off hand but I can try and get them for you.
