2000 S80 Doors won't unlock

2000 S80 Doors won't unlock
I am a new Volvo owner and have an issue with the S80 I just purchased. For some reason, the door lock button on the arm rest will only lock the doors and won't unlock them. Everything works fine when using the remote. Any ideas?
Also, the button on the dash for the trunk unlock defeat does not seem to work at all. Any help with these items would be awesome.
