I got some "gunk" flush, what cup or tool you all use to take the filter cartridge cover off? I tried a band style and pliers style, no luck.

I use a small band-style wrench on mine, but if you can't find one that will fit you can get the right tool here: http://www.eeuroparts.com/Main/PartDetail.aspx?id=A261

Thanks, the one i was useig was chain style, but ill pick up a solid one, and if that doesnt work, ill get one of the cup style

Yes it will. Also the o-rings being bad will. The o-rings seal the pan to the motor to bring the oil to the top of the motor. Also there is a cross pipe in the pan bringing the oil from the filter to the oil cooler.

Ahh, hw much does it usually cost for a shop to do it? The previous owner is probibly going to assist with the cost, Thank you all for continued help.
