Hello all. I'm doing research into adding a remote start for my 2000 Volvo S80. My mechanic says that the remote start does more harm than good for this model year. In addition to adding a remote starter, I would need to replace the keyfob since the power locks don't work and replacing the battery didn't do squat. Again mechanic tells me in order to fix, it would cost me a pretty penny to do so. If anyone here has added a remote start, what model did you use? I'm looking at a Viper LED 2-Way Remote Start System since I'm hoping that this would also allow me to use the power locks again.
