2001 S80 T6 Driveshaft removal?

2001 S80 T6 Driveshaft removal?
I'm trying to replace the driver's side driveshaft on my 2001 S80 T6. I've got the spindle out of the way, but the driveshaft won't pop out of the transmission. Is there anything special I need to do to remove it? Try a slidehammer? Thanks.

It appears to be a Fancy Volvo term for pry bar....
