Default 2002 S80 Sirius Intergration

Hey all! First time poster here. Just got myself a 2002 Volvo S80 T6 last week and now I'm wondering a little bit bout the stereo. I don't want to replace it, it sounds great and I love the steering wheel controls. My question is; it seems like the HU-611 can support an external CD changer, if this is correct, can I tie into this and create an AUX port to run a Sirius reciever or mp3 player etc. into? From the pictures I've seen (haven't decided to go head-first into the dash yet) it looks like the head unit can support 2 external accessories, do the steering wheel controls take up one of these slots? I've searched around the forums, but haven't seen exactly what I'm trying to find. Thanks in advance!

The plugs I am referring to are the 8-pin round plugs on the back of the head unit itself. I finally found some good wiring diagrams and found that one is too the amp and thus shouldn't be touched. The second one is to the CD changer, but everyone keeps saying to tap into it in the trunk, why couldn't I just run a line in the dash to the back of the HU?
