Default 2003 s80 instrument panel is dead

I own a 2003 s80. At first the odometer and fuel gauge would just jump around Then the lights would flicker. Now everything is dead. This seems to be a common problem. What are some of the solutions.

Default Same problem with my 03' T6 S80

I am having the same problem with my 2003 S80. The gauges and lights went off and on several times and then quit. Over the next few days they would come back on (except the clock) intermittently but an urgent SRS notice remained along with a yellow triangle light. I went over all of the 3 fuse boxes with a couple of different mechanics and could find none related to the instrument cluster. One independent Volvo mechanic tried a reset by removing two fuses and then waiting and restarting. Nothing. Then 2 days ago the cluster started working again, except for the clock and the urgent SRS notice. The day before this happened I had the radiator replaced but we couldn't find any problem related to that. The prior week I had the front struts replaced. A couple of months ago I had the transmission rebuilt...

Guys, this often happens with me ....in fact last night it happened. There is nothing to worried about. But caution is always better. I been facing these things from year now. Here is the final tip
Your Starter motor is getting bad or try to replace the cables coming from Battery to Starter(Note: Not from the trunk, from windscreen, there is Positive terminal as well.
Or disconnect the battery for few hours.

Now either you have to play with these options as I often do and it works or change the Starter motor with cables.

DO NOT FORGET TO CHECK THE CIRCUIT BREAKER IN THE TRUNK BESIDE BATTERY.

Cheers!
