I have an 05 V70 Automatic Non-Turbo (same brakes as S80) Does anyone know why the Volvo VIDA software clearly states “(Do not lubricate the sliding pins) “ on the brake pad replacement instructions. I am planning on applying Sil-Glyde silicone grease liberally to the pins as I always do while performing a brake job. But I am confused by this information.
