Default 2004 S80 Trunk Lid Opens

About 3 weeks ago the trunk lid on our S80 started unlocking 1) when you would start the car and 2) by itself when sitting with the engine off - now this morning after the car had sat for approximately 2 days it will not start, just clicks - put a new battery in it a year ago, so something else has to be going on - any ideas?

Just thought I would let you know that they problem was real and in fact it was the trunk switch that is mounted in the trunk lid. The handle and chrome piece also had to be painted and replaced - cost $488.00
The battery had run down as the lid opened itself and the light came on. Seems fixed now time will tell

the chrome piece is the one outside above the license plate, the switch/relay is behind the chrome and painted piece - as I understand it, it cannot be reached from inside the trunk only by removing the painted and chrome piece and that gets broken in the process - wish I had the time to do it myself, however had to get it done therefore the dealer -
