I've owned five (5) Volvos in 20 years...three are still on the road. I just bought an '07 S80 V8 with ALL of the options...what a peach!! Anyone else have + or - comments on the S80 V8?

I just got to say I love the sound of the exhaust....

 

I bought my 1st Volvo this past July; an '08 S80 V8 w/the sport package. It was a dealer svc loaner w/8,200 miles. Now have 12,400 mi and enjoying each mile.

I like the lack of a touch-screen and the straight forward erognomics as well as overall quality. Also, love the engine. It's a bit large and heavy compared to what I have previously driven (Infinitis & Porsches), but I'm hoping that the Asian drivetrain combined w/ Euro structure will be reliable long-term and I will want to keep it for awhile.

Lastly, these are very underated cars; too bad they appear to be marketed so poorly in the U.S.

Use a good synthetic oil (castrol) 10w-30 or less.
