Unhappy 8 mpg Average??!!! :( 2000 s80

Hey guys, i have a 2000 s80 t6 and i have been getting on average 8 mpg for the last 4 months or more. I'm not sure what is wrong. I think it's the computer, i have the "brake failure stop asap" warning constantly on my Info display. the check engine light is on and some other warning lights Im not sure what to do, no volvo certified places to take it to. All the local mechanics refuse to look at it, saying they are incapable of operating on it. PLESE help!! any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!! I live in Emporia, Kansas by the way....i think i own 1 of like 5 volvos in town :\

Thanks!!
This is a great forum by the way!!!!

Sounds like you're going to need to take it up to Topeka to get some service done.

Try looking for a European repair shop, they should be able to work on it.

The brake message is worrying. Surely someone can look at your car ? In terms of the service engine light, start by going to a local autozone, ask them to scan the OBD codes and get a printout. Need to find out what the computer is complaining about.

Another question! I found that the ABS computer is removable and repairable, is this worth a try?
