Default 99 S80 sunroof not working

I was wondering if there is a common problem with the sunroof on this year. There is no sound when I try the switch for the sunroof, which makes me think there is no power. The fuse is good. Is it the module?
Thanks.
John

I don't think its a common problem, or at least not reported by members as a commong problem. If you don't hear anything it is a power issue, either caused by a blown fuse (which you've ruled out), bad module, bad wiring (lose/broke/cut) or a completely shot motor (unlikely IMO). I would guess it's the module if it were me.

Is there a way to test the module? It would be nice to test it before spending the $250 at volvo just for the part.
Thanks for the last post.

Well you can test the power to the motor, see if it's receiving power first.

Does the meessage center work and the buttons to control the message center? try locking and unlocking the car with ur remote several times.. My S80 sometimes is does that and that resolve the problem..

No luck yet. At least it's not leaking. I guess I will just mess with it in the summer.
Thanks for all your posts and help.

I open mine during the winter. If it's sunny out, I'll slide it open to get some nice fresh breeze into the car, the auto climate control will keep the car comfortable temperature wise.

Do your doom lights/reading lights work? If not it is most likely your siren going bad in your car. I know because I have this problem every once in maybe 3 months and it happens more in the warmer months. Lock and unlock you car with you key fob 3 or 4 times and that should do the trick. Better then spending like $400 to fix the problem
