Update- So I was told that a rat’s nest was found in my S80. I thought VolvoWorks was kidding; butnothey were serious. I've never heard of such thing. And that it's common for rats to get under the hood of cars especially if their parked out door Have you guys experienced this before?

Yes
UPDATE- I need some advice. Okay my S80 is at the Carlsbad, CA Volvo dealership. They found why my S80 didn't turn on. But they're not sure what caused it. A CEM was fried. Now they think that my ABS MODULE was the cause of frying the CEM. But it puzzles me because Victor Rocha tested the ABSmodule and told me it was good. But in the other hand VOLVO tells me that it could have been the cause of the CEM to fry and the ABS Module is pretty much going to die soon. I don't know how soon or how they really know that. 1160.00 for a ABS Module. They told me if they put back my old ABS MODULE that it might fry the CEM and that it was up to me.
I have never seen it fry a Cem. We see more lightning strikes here in FLA. I would guess it could be possible. But I have never seen it.I have only seen it shut the system down. But once unplugged all would be fine.
well I'm going to have the car towed back here.... take the ABS MODULE to Victor have him tested it again. And if it's then I would just put it back on the car and see what happens.
But heythe ABS MODULE was the cause that fried the CEM then ... ifI was to put my ABS MODULE back on withoutturning on the car would it fry the CEM?

Something still seems wacky about it. Like I said I have never seen anything like this before. I know on the 850 you can drive without the module but not 100% sure on the S80.
Yeah so... I don't want to turn on the car right now; because I don't want that CEM to fry again. So I took of the ABS Module (part#8619538) off the car. Volvo had it now my car but did have the main connector on. The two prong connector was connected.... before I took the ABS Module I put the key in position I and I saw that nasty message Brake Failure blah blah
Yeah I found this website www.bba-reman.com
But I want to see if Victor can look at my ABS Module again... Test it for the second time. Plus he is here in southern California.

Okay, once again Victor told me that my ABS MODULE is good.
How can a ABS MODULE fry a CEM? Could a ABS affect a CEM? And what's the relation with these two codes mean? Could these codeshave been a sign that my CEM was going bad;Can a bad CEM affect how a ABS Module works?
CEM-1A61(Communication W/ Transmission Control Module Signal Missing)
CEM-1A62(Communication W/Electronic Control Module Signal Missing)

The Cem is the main computer of the car. Remember all of the computers are networked so one going down can affect all of them. Is it at all possible that the car could have been struck by lightning? I have seen that before.
The car has not been hit by lightning. Southern California it doesn't rain at all you can say. So what you are saying is that with a CEM going bad it can affect any module in the car.
