Default ABS pump

while changing my ABS control module I found that the two wires that go to the electric motor on top of the valve body were exposed, the insulation had turned to goo and would fall off the wires by wiping them with my hand, after changing the module the car is still showing a code as having a bad control module. my question is could a bad motor on the top of the valve body cause this code?

Did you seal up the wires?

yes I did seal them up, my only concern was that the motor went bad and caused the wires to heat up and cause the insulation to turn this way

Have you had the codes read again?
Who fixed the module?
The insulation always does this on these things.
