ABS Service Required, Rear tire locked :/
So I joined this forum because I can't find the answer to my problem...
I have a 2000 Volvo s80 with ~119000 Miles on it. I have had numerous issues over the past few months which I somewhat expect as the car is 15 years old and had never had any work done to it prior to my ownership.
I was driving the other day (dropping a friend off at their car in a parking lot) and came to a stop *stayed in Drive* Then I noticed the error come on of ABS Service Required.
I drove a few feet and noticed that the car was driving funny. I got out to check and sure enough my rear, driver's side tire was locked up and wouldn't spin. I got the car towed but I haven't been able to find the solution to my problem...
The E-Brake is Not engaged (the first thing I checked). I actually never use the E-Brake, ever so this being part of the problem would shock me.
Has anyone experienced this/knows how to fix the problem? I did just have a lot of work done to the car so obviously I am trying to minimize costs (just like everyone else). My mechanic told me that the brakes would need to be done "soon" and that was only about 3 weeks ago but I find it odd that this error would lock up one of my tires.
Thanks for the help
