The owners manuel says to not run your AC in the recirculate mode but for 15 minutes at the time. Why is this? All other cars I have seen you can run in the recirculate mode all the time.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? 2001 S80 non turbo

 

All of the cars I have had with a recirculate mode have given the same advice. If there is moisture in the recirculated air the windows will mist up very quickly as the moisture is trapped inside the vehicle.
