Have 2007 S80 V8 AWD with only 15,000 miles. About 1000 miles ago it stopped throwing cold air. Brought it to dealer and he said coolant all gone and recharged the system. He could not explain the loss of coolant and so he injected some dyes to see if there was leak. Watched the car at home and did not see any leaking.

Car sits most of the winter and has not been used since last October.

Took short trip this weekend and had system to AUTO and noticed it keep getting warmer and warmer and the fan was running constantly and no cooling. My temp was set to 70 but temp in car was over 78.

Anyone have similar problems...I wil birng back to shop and have them check compressor which seems to be working ok and the evaporator. Anything else?

Evaporator core leak, almost every single time.

 

Hopefully they go right to the evaporator this time...still under warranty ...
