Default Air Conditioning S80

Its really hot here in Portland - When the air conditioning is on the coldest setting, the 2 dash vents on the drivers side blow cool air, while the 2 vents on the passenger side blow hot air. Any ideas

s80's have dual air con, i know it sounds simple but are both dials on the coldest settings ? and also are all vents opened ?

there is a wheel that turn near each vent that can close it, make sure that wheel is all the way up

This can be caused by low R134a or a bad temperature door damper motor.

Thank you for these responses here - The temperature **** is at the coolest setting and the vent is open. It appears like the "compressor" is not on and it just blows warm air. I will look into the damper suggestion. With all the little problems these cars have - Its better to wait for a number of small issues to come up then, go the mechanic - just do them all at once.

PS: andrei3333 I like your comment "counting the high priced maintenance miles" - Isn't that true, but I really enjoy this car - I've had some real dogs in the past

When the crown is the most beautiful set and the valve is open. Looks like a compressor and not just blowing hot air. All cars are small problems with car 's parts, Best went to a mechanic and repair your car once a year.
