I have a 2007 Volvo S80 fwd inline 6. Recently got a charging failure message on the dash and found a coolant leak right above the alternator in the coolant line that goes from the cylinder head to the reservoir. This looks like a fairly simple replacement, just have to remove the intake manifold and ducting. I am fairly new to volvos, are there any tips I should know about before I jump into this? I've replaced plenty of alternators before but this looks different as it sits in front of the engine and looks like it's driven differently than by a normal drive belt.
