alternator replacement

alternator replacement
I searched but didnt find any helpful posts. Can anyone help me with the procedure to replace an alternator on an 03 xc90 please? I also have to replace a rear shock and could use some helpful hits with that as well.

For the Alt once you have disconnected the battery and have the belt off remove the power steering pump. You will most likely have to remove the upper hose to fold the pump over out of the way. Then there is one screw going in from the front by the belt area. The other 2 mounting screws are under it. But you will have to loosen the bottom bolts on the A/C compressor then remove the top 2. Then remove the wires from the back of the alt and slide it out. Sometimes it can be a pain to get it al the way out as well.
