Default Bad odor when using turbo on 04' S80????

I bought this car last year used with 85000 on it and so far I am out roughly $2,000 so far. Another $600 for new tires around but that was by my choice totally.

The car needed lower control arms both sides. Then new front struts and now a stablizer bar as the bushings were shot... Luckily when I bought the car the dealer just replaced the rear struts before putting the car out on the lot......

Any rate, I have noticed when I would go to pass or take off from a light and if I tromp on the throttle I smell a foul smell for a few minutes in the car. If I drive normal there isn't any type of smell what so ever. Could this be CAT issue or is it the turbo's doing this?

The Check Engine light just came on yesterday and now I'm freaking as I don't have any more scratch to dump in the car right now. The car now has 117,000 on it as I drove it quite a bit since I bought it. Lots of business trips and road trips with the family. I am taking it to my buddies garage next week to have the codes read and pray it's nothing major....

Yikes

Maybe the vent system needs to be serviced.
When you boost it creates positive pressure and may be leaking from the dipstick tube and coming into the cabin.

Thanks Tech, is that something anyone can do or does a garage need to achieve this? I am looking up O2 sensors and Cat's now in case this might need to be done as well after the codes are read.

Just curious...

Thanks

If you are handy you should be able to handle but. But it will take you a while to do it. The intake manifold needs to be removed.
