Default Battery Replacement

I hate to be a PIA, but my battery tester indicates the battery in my S80 should be replaced. I assume there are other options than going to the dealership. Anybody have any input? This original battery is 6yrs old. I should have figured. The label indicates 600amps/115minutes. Does this indicate 600CCA? I'm hoping to install it myself and getting it from a local parts store. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

JK

I think so. Just ask the parts store for a battery for your car and they should show you what they have got.

Yes the 600 CCA is Cold Cranking Amps, the 115 is the number of minutes reserve power that the battery can hold. Any Autozone, NAPA, etc. can pull up the correct replacement on the computer.

FYI, if your car has any issues after installing the battery just run it by the dealership. I've heard that sometimes you need to reload the software after replacing the battery for whatever reason. The computers in these things can be fickle.
