I am looking to make my 2000 S80 T6 louder. Now obnoxiously loud but just loud to get some attention. Its a turbo so I am woundering if an aftermarket, air intake or exhaust needed to be a specific type or not because of the turbo? I was thinking about a cold air intake and a magnaflow muffler. A second question is about the exhaust system it seems that on this car that there are two mufflers a center muffler and a odd shaped muffler at the rear of the car which one or both do I want to replace?

 

well Tim, you can think all you want.. but try finding an aftermarket intake for a volvo s80... none exist so if you want you are going to have to make one.. Look on the forum, there are 1 or 2 threads about it..
Mind you, the NA will be a bit louder than the turbo if you put an intake..

RE: exhaust, there is some mention of it on the forum but I consider magnaflows a bit too loud for a vehicle such as this..

 

You might cut off the exhaust...that will do it...

I have the same question.Which exhaust gives you better sound,more ponies and power?
Magnaflows,Borla ,etc.??
Also ,don't want it to sound like a Civic or any of these teen's cars.. ..no offence !!

I have Magnaflows on my Lexus SC 400 and they are awesome.....just my opinion
